Gavin's drawing

Gavin really loves to sing, read and draw nowadays and I was surprise to see one of his drawing (actually its just a scribble) on the coffee table coincidence a few days back.
He drew a boy, according to his explanation and this is how it looks like as below.....

A - Two eyes
B - Two ears
C - Two hands
D - Two legs
E - 'One' (??) hair
F - One mouth

When I ask him where's the nose then he went 'oops, sorry!' and he added.....

G - One nose

When I ask him again about the two 'out-of-topic' items, he explained......

H - Smoke
I - Orange

I laughed like mad after listening to his explanation, he's really creative and truly have a sense of funny imagination! LOL!

Whenever I recall this piece of drawing, it really keep me smiling away, so innocent!

But I just cant make out why is the smoke and orange got to do with a boy, LOL!

p/s - Luckily I snapped this piece of 'masterpiece' using my camera before I lost it, I should have scanned the drawing earlier, sigh!

Glutton Gavin

Eversince Gavin started his preschool last month, I found that he is quite a big eater nowadays.
Everyday before leaving for school, I will normally prepare him a lunchbox with some breakfast snacks like french toast, cheese/peanut butter sandwich etc for him to eat during his morning snack time at school although the school will provide morning snack too because I thought that the home prepared snack can be a stand-by meal if he does not like the snack prepared by the school since he only take 1 bottle of milk without any breakfast before leaving the house. And, most of the time, he will finish all his home prepared snack as well as the school one, so I thought, he is taking a good portion of breakfast and certainly that's a good sign.

When comes to lunch time, the school will also prepare lunch for the students, and Gavin will take his lunch at school before leaving for home. Sometimes he might not finish the portion when comes to not-so-favourite dish but if he is offered his favourite dish like western food or fry noodle, he will ask for more, sometimes taking up to 3 portions! So I guess the school might worry of 'rugi' (making a lost) because Gavin's consumption is huge, haha!

And when Gavin reach home after school, he will request for somemore food again when he see us ( my mom and myself) having our lunch and he will definitely finish his new portion of lunch with a big 'burp'!

Next, when comes to naptime, he surely wants another bottle of milk and this time is only 1-2 hours apart from the lunch he took earlier. This will last until dinner time.

After finishing his dinner, he will start to hunt for food again and normally this time he will be hunting in the fridge and the pursuading process will happen as below….

Gavin : ‘Let’s see what kind of snack is in the fridge.’

Once he spotted his prey like chocolates, vitagen, cakes, jelly, fresh milk, cornflakes, biscuits etc, he will go….

Gavin : ‘Mummy do u like to have some xxx?’

Eve : ‘No, I don’t like.’

Gavin : ‘Y you don’t like, mummy? Its very nice wor, very nice.’

Before I can comment anything, he will be starting to eat the snack already.
After having his favourite snack, he will take some fruits too until bedtime, he will need the last bottle of milk of the day before he sleeps.

Sometimes I'm worrying that Gavin might throw up one day because he might over eaten too much but maybe he is having his growth spurt so I think as long as he is happy and enjoy his food then i should not be worrying too much.
I love to look at Gavin whenever he is enjoying his food because he looked very contented and satisfied with his lovely meal, he is cute indeed!

A GIft From Ivan 'Gu'

My cousin, Ivan who is also the uncle ( 'Gu' in Teochew dialect) to Gavin return from USA to Malaysia for his holiday and he had bought a gift for Gavin-a series of educational CD.Gavin was so excited about the gift he received and i immediately loaded the CD in hubby's laptop. The CD is actually catered for kids of age 6-12 so it is a bit too deep for Gavin now but anyhow, I still let Gavin explored on the programs.
After the I got the program loaded, Gavin was so excited while he got hooked on the program and he can managed to read quite a number of words and some short sentences from the laptop screen while the program runs and he enjoyed playing the 'click and paste' game very much.
This is the first time I allowed him to use the laptop and to my surprise, he knew that he can move the cursor by using the touch pad beside using a mouse, without me demonstrating him directly and all by just one observation!
I really think that the kids in the new era are far more advance and this set of CD is certainly a very suitable and meaningful gift for Gavin to enlighten his exploration of knowledge eternally!

My first post!

Since quite some time ago, I have been thinking to start a blog after reading so many interesting blogs by other mothers that really have inspired me to realize the idea of blogging despite my worry of my lousy english and writing skill!

I have always wanted to keep the sweet memories of my two little princes on their growing stories because they only grow once in a lifetime and I think that it should be a good idea to keep all the precious memories in a blog.

Hence, here I am, in the world of blogging, finally!

And here are my two little Mr.Khue --
